The use of SWCNT films as conducting materials appears to be a simple idea.However, the overall electrical properties are intricately dependent on a variety of parameters such as the average tube length and diameter ,diameter, deposition method, concentration of SWCNTs and adventitious doping from the ambient . For conductive films, long and relatively large diameter SWCNTs , which can minimize the role of SWCNTs junctions in transport and the bandgap of SWCNTs , are desired, Ideally, the deposition method should enable the assembly of uniform films at high throughput on any substrate ,with precise control of D, Several solution deposition approaches and transfer printing techniques have demonstrated attractive capabilities of forming large area transparent conductive SWCNTs films on various of substrate.

Combing the conducive SWCNTs films with semiconducting SWCNTs films has enabled the realized if flexible transparent transistors using SWCNTs for all of the current carrying layers.
