Fullerene C60 are found as the third allotrope of elemental carbon. it is series of closed caged carbon molecules composed of five-membered rings and six-membered rings.

Fullerenes are known as "nano-prince" because of their perfect symmetrical structure, special stability in the nano-scale range, and their exotic electronic structure, which make them have great potential for application in many high-tech fields and irreplaceable materials.

Normally, fullerene does not conduct electricity, but metal atoms can be put into its inside and affect the physical properties of the metal, so it becomes conductive.
Fullerenes have a lot of free electrons, so putting decaying radioactive elements in them can change their half-life.

1. Superconducting material

Fullerenes are powerful antioxidants that quickly absorb free radicals in the body.Industry insiders said, to achieve the best use effect of fullerenes, "concentration" is the key, relatively speaking, the higher the concentration of fullerenes are, the better free radicals and melanin adsorption and cleaning is.

3. Medical material
Fullerenes and their derivatives have cytoprotective and antioxidant activities, antiviral and antibacterial activities, drug loading and tumor treatment activities.

4. Fuel cell
Due to the unique cavity structure of fullerenes, chemical methods can be used to open the chemical bonds on the surface, and then the small molecules needed can be put into the cage, so as to prepare new materials, which have some special applications,for example, nitrogen-doped fullerene could serve as a potential catalyst for hydrogen fuel cells.

5. Diamond-like film
One of the unique properties of fullerene materials is that it can be sublimated at low temperatures, for C60, sublimation point is about 600 °, which makes the fullerenes in irregular shape sedimentary cover on the surface of a gas be relatively easy to implement.

In addition, because fullerenes are easily soluble in polar organic molecular solvents such as toluene, the complex surface can be directly immersed in the prepared solution at room temperature, leaving a layer of fullerenes molecular film after the solvent evaporates.
