Antistatic coating is the main application of Antimony Doped Tin Oxide(ATO) market. Nano-ATO powder as conductive filler added to the polyamide, acrylic and other matrix resin, and select the appropriate dispersion method so that can obtain transparent nano-composite anti-static coating. In the nano ATO composite antistatic coating, when the nano-ATO powder added to a critical value, the coating conductivity was significantly improved. The results show that the critical volume concentration (CPVC) of nanometer ATO powder in coating is about 23%. When PVC reaches 23%, the conductive property of coating is better than that of coating. However, if further increase the amount of nano ATO, it will not help a lot about the improvment of the conductivity of the coating, on the contrary, it will affect the coating color, transparency and mechanical properties. In addition, the type of matrix resin, the amount of solvent and preparation process and so on that will have a significant impact on the performance of the coating.
