Application for spherical silver powder:
1. A photovoltaic cell is able to convert solar energy into electrical energy of the semiconductor device, in the light conditions inside the battery generates photocurrent, through the electrode can be directly output power. In order to generate a photocurrent battery leads, must produce a positive electrode in the back surface of the cell. Both electrodes are made through the electrode paste screen printing, drying, and finally obtained high-temperature sintering.
2. As the silver particles with more than 80% in the slurry, so silver powder morphology, particle size, dispersion and other properties of the electrode paste and the square resistance cells, photoelectric conversion efficiency has a very important technical indicators impact.
3. In the photovoltaic positive silver electrode silver paste to have a spherical shape, uniform particle size and high dispersion characteristics. Such as 1.5um particle size spherical silver, is more suitable.
4. The preparation of a silver electrode paste and sintering at high temperatures, a silver electrode sheet resistance test <5 mΩ, can meet the requirements of the electrical properties of the solar cell.
The spherical silver powders used for the front electrode paste of photovoltaic battery were
prepared by chemical reduction. The morphology, particle size and dispersity of silver powders were
characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and laser particle size analyzer. The silver powders
prepared are about 1.5 µm in particle size, and well dispersed in spherical shape. The influencing factors
were analyzed, such as the type of reducer, concentration of surfactant and reaction time etc. The silver
powders were fabricated into the silver paste. After being sintered, the morphology and resistance of front
electrode were measured. The results showed that the silver powders could meet the need of fabricating the
front electrode of photovoltaic battery.
