Ni2 + has 3d orbit, which has the tendency of preferentially adsorbing polyelectron, and also activates other reducing gases and catalyzes the oxygen. During the decomposition, synthesis and the conversion process of the organic matters,such as gasoline hydrocracking, a petrochemical treatment of hydrocarbon conversion. In the process of heavy oil hydrogenation, NiO nanoparticle is a good catalyst. In the catalytic combustion of natural gas,using NiO / CuO-ZrO2 composite catalyst to improve its high temperature stability in order to avoid oxidation of N2 in the air to produce NOx and unburned CO under the high temperature of reachtion.  The NiO / Si02 composite catalyst is used in the preparation of carbon nanotubes(CNTs). When the content of Ni is high, the yield of carbon nanotubes is high and the diameter distribution is narrow. However, the content and shape of NiO directly affects the yield and traits of carbon nanotubes. In wastewater treatment, NiO is a catalyst to remove CH4, cyanide and N2 and decompose NOx. As photocatalytic degradation of acid red catalyst, NiO in the treatment of organic dye wastewater and the result is very obvious. 2. Ceramic additives and colouring agent of glass     Nano NiO powder is used to improve the impact strength of ceramic products.
