What is Nanoparticles?

  • October 17,2014.

Nowadays, nano technology is widely use in different fields. Nanopartilce is familiars to people but people still not sure what it is. Generally for nanoparticles, we mean particle size is between 1 and 100 nanometers. Nanoparticles were used by artisans as far back as the ninth century inMesopotamiafor generating a glittering effect on the surface of pots.

For nanoparticles especially use to classify the inorganics like metal powders, carbides, nitrides, oxides and some other chemical compounds. Metal nanoparticles like silver nanopowder, gold nanopowder, palladium nanopowder etc expensive element powder are found to use in medical area. Normal metal element nanoparticles like aluminum nanoparticle, nickel nanoparticle, copper nanoparticle and so on are good catalyst. For carbides like Tungsten carbides nanoparticlee, Silicon carbide nanoparticles, Titanium carbide nanoparticle etc are good hard tool powders. Nitrides likeBoron Nitride nanoparticle, Aluminum Nitride nanoparticle, Silicon Nitride etc are good ceramic additives to enhance the solid of products.

For the nanoparticles could improve different properties of different products. Researchers and scientist are now exploring more and more application of nanoparticles. The nanoparticles in will color our life in different field.
